Hematology annual course: Haploidentical transplantation of Hematopoietic Progenitors

The allogeneic stem cell transplantation is often the only treatment option in various hematological diseases. Typically the donor for this procedure corresponds to an identical sibling HLA or to an unrelated compatible donor volunteer. Haploidentical donors are an option for patients who do not have an adequate conventional donor. Invited speakers: Drs. Leo Luznik and Ephraim Fuchs Johns Hopkins University, who have developed the method that has allowed the expansion of this type of transplant. Dr. Adriana Seber from Brazil Drs. Gregorio Jaimovich and Juliana Martínez from Argentina Drs Lilián Díaz, Gustavo Dufort, Raúl Gabús and Lem Martínez, representatives of Uruguay transplant Centers. Coordinators: Drs.
